Alidean Chadwick McMaster

Alidean Chadwick McMaster, 97, born November 24, 1922 to Harold T. Chadwick and Gladys Ohms Chadwick in La Grande, OR.

Graduated from La Grande High School with class of 1939. Attended Eastern Oregon College a short time and then went to work for West Coast Telephone Company. On December 16, 1941 married her high school sweetheart, William E. McMaster who preceded her in death September 2, 1994. Blessed with two children, Sherry Lynne McMaster Bolton and William Larry McMaster, both whom are deceased.

Alidean went to work for Williamson’s Insurance Service in 1946, working full time and part time until retirement in 1983. In 2010, she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah to be near family. She dearly loved playing bridge with friends and at Country Club, golfed, member of Soroptomist, life member of Beta Sigme Phi Sorority, Grande Ronde Hospital Auxiliary and Eastern Star.

Alidean was a member of the Presbyterian Church, La Grande and later attended Sonrise Baptist.

Survived by grandchildren, Brandon L. McMaster, Scott D. Bolton, Darcy (Thomas) Bolton and Anthony R. Higgins; also, by her beloved extended family, Judy and Kay Burrows with whom she made her home in Salt Lake, Catherine L. Searles, Desmond Yamamura and Justin Yamamura. Also survived by great-grandchildren Brayden Wm. McMaster, and Maile Yamamura. Preceded in death by parents; husband; daughter; son; and one sister, Berneva J. Brazeau.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2020, 4:00 p.m. at Sonrise Baptist Church, 3550 South 4400 West, West Valley City, Utah.
