Craig Boyd Dahl

December 14, 1949 — August 18, 2021

If I could have a lifetime wish…

A dream that would come true…

I’d pray to God with all my heart…

For yesterday and you…Author Unknown

Craig passed away August 18, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born December 14, 1949 in Blackfoot, Idaho to Boyd and Frieda (Bogenschutz) Dahl. He married his true love, Leslie Wright, on Jan. 5, 1972.

Craig graduated Kearns HS in 1968 and attended USU and SUU. He worked at Balkamp for 38 years before retiring in 2009. Craig loved spending time hunting, fishing, and with family at the cabin. He loved teasing everyone and it was hard to tell when he was serious. He loved coin collecting and loved following the Utes. Even though he didn’t love the water, vacations always involved the beach because his family loved it.

Survivors include his wife, Leslie; son, Brandon (Holly) Dahl; grandsons, Mason and Cayden Smith, Carson Dahl; granddaughters, Kali and Breeze Dahl; sister Debbie (Ron) Taylor; sister in laws, Lynne (Bill) McKnight, Lisa (Kelly) Oldham, Lori (Tracy) Allen, Sherrie Dahl; step-moms Norma Dahl and Cherie Wright; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Stephanie Smith; his brother and partner in crime Randy Dahl; and his parents.

Graveside services are at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South WVC, UT 84120. There will an open mic for brief comments and memories.
