Emily Dorothy Archuleta

April 8, 1950 — February 24, 2020

Our beloved Emily passed away peacefully on 2-24-20. She enjoyed and loved all of her family and friends. She worked tirelessly and was a beautiful independent woman for over 40 years. 

In our hearts she will always stay,

Loved and remembered every day.

Happy memories silently kept,

No need for words, we'll never forget.

 

You are such a dear and we want you to know that we will all hold you in our hearts.

 

"I was born in Monte Vista Colorado on April 8, 1950. I am the fifth daughter born to Alberto Archuleta & Juanita Jane Duran-Archuleta. I was baptized on May 28, 1950 in Monte Vista, Colorado in the Roman Catholic Church. I did my first holy communion and confirmation and remained a Catholic all of my life. I am preceded in death by both of my parents and my grandparents Jose Gregorio Archuleta, Victoria Trujillo-Archuleta, Francisco Juan Duran, & Dolorita Meaz-Duran. Also preceded in death by 3 sisters Kathy, Elizabeth (Betty), & Geraldine. Nephews Russell Moore, Willie Jr. Salazar, Kenny Jr. Alires. Survived by 3 sisters Evelyn, Mary, & Patricia (Pat) and my brother Danny Archuleta. Numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. Survived by my children my handsome Juan Morales & wife Marcy, my beautiful daughter Juanita Strong. Grandchildren 4 handsome grandsons J.D., Kayden, Maxmimus, Austin and my 2 beautiful granddaughters Alexis & Marisa, and 1 handsome great grand son Jaxx (Gigi). I love them all".

A viewing will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road.

A funeral mass will be held Monday, March 2, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 1065 East 700 South, Salt Lake City, Utah. Burial following services at West Jordan City Cemetery,  7925 South 1300 West, West Jordan, UT 84088. Celebration of Life Lunch, at 1:00 PM, held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church reception hall, 1058 West 400 South, S.L.C, UT 84104.
