Heather Ann Hussey Shober, 31, loving wife, mother, daughter and friend, passed away unexpectedly May 31, 2019, from an amniotic fluid embolism after giving birth to a perfect baby girl.
Heather was born on September 4, 1987, to Ray and Nancy Hussey in Murray, UT, and raised in Roosevelt, UT. On August 5, 2010, she married the love of her life, Nick, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together, Nick and Heather built a wonderful life and are blessed with three beautiful children.
Heather attended Southern Utah University where she earned her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees. She is an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was devoted to her callings. She lived for Nick and her children, and her guiding spirit lives on through them.
Heather loved spending time with her family and was a devoted mother. Her easygoing and loving nature assured her many lifetime friends. She had a fun-loving personality and was always one to reach out to others. Those who knew her could always rely on Heather to be a listening ear and count on her to provide an honest and kind opinion. She truly was an amazing example of giving and was always helping others in large and small ways. As her numerous friends and family know, Heather was the queen of hand written thank-you notes, a lost art that she valued. She lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures. She loved chatting with friends, cooking, participating in her Bunco Group, doing home projects with Nick, boating with her family and supporting her kids in their many activities. She was a nutrition educator and loved working and spending time with her co-workers. At the end of the day, if asked what her greatest accomplishment was, with a glint in her eye, she would simply say “My family”.
Heather is survived by her loving husband and soul mate, Nick; children Maylee (5), Boston (3), and Devri (newborn); parents Ray and Nancy Hussey; brothers Tyler (Angela) and Mitch (Megan); parents-in-law Bob and Linda Shober; sister-in-law Bree (Nick) Dodge; nieces and nephews Eli, Claire, Logan, Bridger, and Brooklyn; and numerous family and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Jean Farley Rogers.
