Helen Kay

It is with great sadness that the family of Helen Kay announced that she passed away peacefully on August 25, 2020.

Born in Midway, Utah September 17, 1939 to Margaret Clayborn and Melvin Street.

She married her best friend, Paul Jay Henderson June 28, 1956 in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a child she loved working on the farm alongside her dad. Some of Kay’s interests and hobbies included horses, needlework and sewing. Mom loved playing cards, and making hot chocolate for her grandchildren, and always enjoyed a good puzzle. Mom was proud that she earned her GED in 1979 and enjoyed a career in telecommunications for the state of Utah.

Kay was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in many positions. She served with Paul in the Winnipeg Canada Mission.

Kay is survived by her children: Kelli, Ben (Colette), Brian (Candy), Sandra (John) Harmon, Daniel (Lisa); 19 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Jay Henderson; son, Paul David Henderson (Michelle); and grandson, Matthew David Henderson.

Kay was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

A private family viewing will be held Saturday. Graveside services, for immediate family only, will be held Saturday, August 29, 2020, at Midway City Cemetery, Midway, Utah.
