J Keith Campbell

September 29, 1931 — July 6, 2020

J Keith Campbell, age 88 passed away with his wife and children by his side on July 6, 2020 in Lehi, Utah from natural causes.

Keith was born September 29, 1931 in Goshen, Utah to Glen P. and Rachel (Lichfield) Campbell. He was their only son but was surrounded by four wonderful sisters. Preceding him in death are Wanda (Oris) Sanderson, Dona (Reese) Godfrey, Marrion (Stanley) Anderson and one surviving sister Bonnie (Leon) VanRoosendahl. He spent his youth in Eureka, SLC and Newdale, Idaho.

While attending Sugar City High School he met the love of his life, Dorothy Perrenoud, and they were married in Rexburg, Idaho in 1952. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple with their children, Christine (Kenneth) Sorensen, Brett (Jill) Campbell, Lane (Judy) Campbell and Vicki (Brian) Bennion.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather of 14, great-grandfather of 26, great- great- grandfather to 3 and the favorite uncle to so many. Keith's infectious humor and dry wit made him a friend to all.

Keith was a hard worker and provided well for his family. In his early years he worked at Boyles Brothers Drilling Company in the fabrication shop, building exploration and drilling equipment. Later with Christensen Mining Products he managed the warehouse and inventory control. This position gave him the opportunity to travel and trouble shoot at various drilling and mining sites. His skills were very valuable as he could get the drill rigs back on line using what resources available at the job sites. He retired in 1994.

Keith loved being outdoors, camping, fishing, and hunting with his kids and grandkids. Many memories were made at the Campbell campouts at Moon Lake, fishing at Electric Lake, camping in the little family trailer, trips to Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon, driving along the Oregon coast for deep sea fishing and witnessing the grunion run on the beaches in California. After retirement they purchased their vacation home in St. George. Golfing became a passion for both Keith and Dorothy, and you could find him on the golf course several days a week. Keith made many friends with their golfing buddies and wives and enjoyed those golden years in St. George.

The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff at Covington Senior Living in Lehi, Utah and the A Plus Hospice team who have provided outstanding care, love and friendship to our family during this time.
