Kenneth Alan Park Sr. passed away suddenly on July 23, 2020.
Kenneth was born on June 13, 1944 in Murray, Utah to Afton Jean Knebelau and Kenneth Leonard Park. He was the only boy out of six children. Sisters - Karla Stay, Sandra Tanner, Joan Gurule Paetsch, Renee Garrett and Robyn Naillon.
Kenneth served in the United States Army at 17 years old first at Fort Collins, Colorado and then in Anchorage Alaska. In Alaska he drove the government officials around. While in Alaska, he hurt his left knee and came home.
Kenneth was a good carpenter and mechanic for most of his life. But Kenneth’s passion was for love of the outdoors. He would go out camping, fishing, hiking or dirt bike riding. The thing he loved the most was spending time with his good friends Larry Naillon, Fred Garrett and Jim Edginton.
In 1964 he met the love of his life, Peggy Lee Jones, and married her. They had three children in which Kenneth is survived by: Kenneth A Park Jr. (Andrea), Samantha Park Miller and Jason William Park, his seven grandchildren: Stephen, Anthony, Joshua, Jeffrey, Tina, Kameron, Jayme; great-grandchildren Joshua, Bella, Paisley, Ian and Madi, Haylee ,Bryson, Emma, Kimber, Madeline.
Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents, ex-wife Peggy L Jones, grandson Kameron G Park, great-grandson Ian Tran and his best friends Larry Naillon and Fred Garrett.
Family and friends may gather at McDougal Funeral Home for a Memorial for Kenneth, at 4330 So Redwood Rd, Taylorsville, UT 84123, on Wednesday July 29, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM. The funeral services will be held at Utah Veterans Memorial Park on Friday 31, 2020 at 100 p.m. where he will be laid to rest.
