LaRee Calderwood McEwan

LaRee Calderwood McEwan, age 91, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2018

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on January 4, 1927, to John Wells Calderwood and Elon Manwill Calderwoo. She married William E. McEwan on September 14, 1952; later solemnized in the Jordan River Temple.

She loved God, her family, and camping in our beautiful mountains. She was a talented artist, singer and poet, and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her children Charlene (Jay Cherry), Lynn (Kitty McEwan), David (Carol McEwan), Bruce McEwan and Janice (Tom Wilburn); 12 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandsons. Preceded in death by her parents; brother Bernie; daughter Lynnette; and her loving husband, William McEwan.

Thank you to the staff of Intermountain Hospice. Special thanks to her nurse Dennis, Tina and Juanita for their tender care and thoughtfulness.

Services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018, at Kearns South Stake Center, 5905 South 4000 West. A viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. Interment, Wights Fort Cemetery, 3550 W. 9000 S.
