Lorraine Williams Walton loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and Aunt, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the age of 82 after a long illness.
Born 6 May 1938 in Rawlins, Wyoming to Laurena Melba Williams and Claudius Spencer Williams. She lived in Rawlins, Wyoming until her parents moved to Bountiful, Utah in 1955. There she attended Bountiful High School and was in the first class to graduate from Bountiful High School on 9 May 1957. She also graduated from Bountiful Seminary.
On 24 Feb 1961, Lorraine and Thomas Dean Walton were married in the Salt Lake Temple. Dean died on Christmas morning Dec 25, 1978. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having served in numerous positions. She served many times as a Sunday school teacher and primary teacher. She was 1st counselor in the Handicap Mutual for the Kearns area for many years. She also served as a stake and ward librarian.
Lorraine had many talents some of which was making doll birthday cakes for all the little girls around and beautiful wedding cakes. She also liked to do ceramics, making many for family and friends as gifts.
Lorraine was survived by sons Lance Walton of Malad, Idaho, Terry Walton of Woods Cross, Utah, brother Kenneth Dean Williams (Joyce), Layton Utah, Arlene Fenton, West Valley City, Utah. She was a grandmother to 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be at McDougal Funeral Home at 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 18. Due to coronavirus no viewing will be held. Family prayer will be at 10:00 before the service. Interment will be at the Redwood Memorial Estates following the services.
