Salt Lake City - Our dearest Mother, Grandmother, Sister and friend, MarJean Tidd Burkett,
passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 3, 2019 and will be reunited with her sweetheart
Bruce W. Burkett Jr.
MarJean was born February, 8, 1939 to parents Roland and Maude Tidd. She was one of two
children, the older sister to her brother, Ralph.
MarJean later married the love of her life Bruce W. Burkett Jr. in Salt Lake and was later sealed
in the LDS Temple. Together their proudest accomplishments were their three boys Brent, Eric
and Wade Burkett. She was devoted to her family and loved spending every moment with them.
She enjoyed helping others through spending countless hours at the humanitarian center and
doing genealogy for many years. In her free time, you could find her working in her yard and
garden ensure she had one of the best yards on the street.
MarJean was a devoted Latter-day Saint and enjoyed learning and spreading the Gospel.
MarJean was an avid and competitive YAHTZEE player; She took pleasure in constructing
jigsaw puzzles, watching the daily news, diet Dr. Pepper, sweets, and her cats.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Graveside services will be held Monday, December 9th, 2:00 p.m. at Fort Douglas Cemetery, 431 Chipeta Way, Salt Lake City, Utah.
