Odilia P. Velasquez

Odilia P. Velasquez “Pepa”, 77 of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away in the early morning hours of December 22, 2018. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Born August 2, 1941 in Monticello, Utah. She was the daughter of Jose Velasquez and Elena Maclovia Sisneros. She was the loving mother to Cheryl Candelaria, Lily Candelaria, Jenny (Gilberto) Magana, Billy Candelaria, Angel (Oscar) Ramirez. She was NANA to 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Pepa was known for being a strong, independent, fiery, protective and proud mom and nana. She will be remembered by all for her kind, loving and giving ways.

She is survived by her daughters; son-in-laws; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; 9 sisters; and 2 brothers, who will miss her greatly.

She is preceded in death by her father Jose; mother Elena; and son Billy; 6 sisters; and 4 brothers.

Funeral Mass will be held Friday, December 28th, 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 2119 South 400 East Salt Lake City, Utah 84115. A viewing will be held Thursday evening, December 27th, 6:00pm-8:00pm; Rosary at 7:00 pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah 84123. Interment, Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
