On November 22, 2018, this world lost a great man, brother, father, grandfather, husband, and friend. Frank imbued happiness and joy into the world, and his friends and family feel lucky to have known him.
Frank was born on June 23, 1935 in Fall River, Massachusetts to Everett and Maryanne Hambly. He met his first wife, Janet Cormier Hambly, roller skating at Lincoln Park in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts. Frank and Janet married on May 19, 1956, and gave birth to their son, David F. Hambly, on July 19, 1960. While living in Massachusetts, Frank enjoyed spending time on his sail boat with his son and eating seafood.
Frank spent the majority of his life with his family in Fall River, Massachusetts. When his son and daughter-in-law – Virginia Hambly – started having children, Frank and Janet moved to Southern California to be close to his grandchildren, Kevin and Kathleen Hambly. He spent 16 years in California, where he enjoyed traveling in his camper with his family. His first wife passed away on June 10, 1993.
During his travels to Salt Lake City, Utah, Frank met his second wife, Phyllis Koontz. They married on November 22, 2008, and lived for eight years at their home located in Mesquite, Nevada. Frank and Phyllis enjoyed traveling together and did so on numerous occasions.
Frank will always be remembered as a good man. He was an incredible father, grandfather, husband, and friend. His loving character was a beacon of light that shined on everything it touched. Sadly, that light is now turned off, and he will be greatly missed. Frank’s love, warmth, and kindness will live on in our hearts forever.
