Taylorsville; Red passed away peacefully on Monday, December 3, 2018. He was born in Fulton, New York, May 7, 1930. He honorably served in the Army and Air Forces; he served in the Korean War. He married Martha Colleen Schulthies on January 12, 1951. She preceded him in death. He was a proud lifetime Democrat.
Survived by Tony (Jackie), Jody Barrett, Brian (Pat), Kelly Gibson; sister Carol Delaney; brother Joseph “Pat” Gibson; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his loving wife Martha; daughter Vicki “Gertie” Gibson; son-in-law Patrick Barrett; both parents; his brother Thomas Gibson; and special friend Arlene Martinson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 8, 2018, 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where a viewing will precede services from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
A celebration of Red’s life will be held following the graveside services from 3:30-6:30 p.m. at Legacy Villas Condo Club House, 3521 Legacy Villas Rd (6355 South).
