1946 - 2020 We lost an amazing woman on Monday, September 1, 2020 Sandra "Sandy" Parker Lundquist, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, confidant, and very best friend passed away after a battle with Alzheimer compounded by cancer.

She came into this world on November 21, 1946, a cold snowy day, a little past her scheduled arrival date but in time to celebrate Thanksgiving with her parents Mardon John Parker and Elda Lovendahl Parker and sister, Karen.

She was raised in Bennion, Utah. Growing up she loved playing baseball, riding bikes and riding horses. She broke her arm while swinging on the clothesline. She tried to convince her mom it wasn’t broke it was only bent. The doctor confirmed it was broke. Her arm was placed in a cast which she found came in handy to hit boys over the head that were bothering her.

She married Calvin Lee Curtis in January of 1964 and her one and only daughter was born November 1964. She later divorced Calvin. She was able to finish school and continue her education at Utah Technical College. Upon graduation she started a job as a secretary with the State of Utah all while being a single mom.

She married Billy Lundquist in May of 1976 and was blessed with 2 stepsons that she loved and adored. Billy and Sandy were able to spend many years together. They remained together until his death in February of 2019.

She retired from the State of Utah in 2000. During retirement she was able to enjoy the things she loved; golfing with friends, lunch with her girls (oh how she loved her girls), shopping and outings with her daughter as well as fishing with Billy. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was dearly loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter Charlene (Kent) Trolson; sons, Shaun Lundquist (J’Anne)  and Brett Lundquist; grandchildren, Jessica Willes (Phil), William Trolson (Angelina) and Heidi Trolson and her great-grandchildren, Sadie, Lila, Hadley, Jacoda, Kaylina, Sandra, Loren, Felicity, Journee and Brighton.

She is preceded in death by her parents Mardon and Elda; sister, Karen; husband Billy; granddaughter Victoria-Jo; great granddaughter Nora: great-grandson Daxon and daughter in law Wendy.

Her family would like to extend a huge thank you to Pheasant Run Alzheimer’s Special Care Center and Brio Hospice for their exceptional care.

A viewing will be held on Saturday the 5th of September from 9:30am to 11:00am at McDougal Funeral Home located at 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Masks must be worn.
