Ron joined McDougal Funeral Home at the invitation of his great uncles, David and Richard. He dedicated twenty years to helping families with pre-planning and pre-arrangements. He graduated from Utah State University with bachelor’s degrees in business and marketing. He enjoys serving families the community, carrying on the tradition of excellence and reputation of care and compassion established by David, Richard, and Kirk McDougal. He and his wife are the parents of seven children. He is active in church service and loves working with the youth in his neighborhood.
Michael has served with McDougal Funeral Home since 1994. He feels serving families at the sensitive time of a loved one's loss. Is one of life’s greatest privileges and is honored to carry on the traditions expected by his grandfather. Founder R. David McDougal. Some enjoyments include: Spending valuable time with his family, vacationing, watching movies, playing games, motorcycles, classic muscle cars, boating, 4-wheeling to anything outdoors in the mountains and simply creating cherished memories to last a lifetime.
Darren has worked with McDougal Funeral Home since 1994 as a licensed funeral director. He graduated in 1992 from San Francisco College of Mortuary Science and has served families all over Utah. He and his wife are the proud parents of four sons and happy grandparents of one adorable granddaughter.
Eric joined McDougal Funeral Home in July of 1991. He attended The University of Utah and Cypress College of Mortuary Science. He has the
unique ability to see solutions to many different and difficult problems, and ensuring those solutions are met. No matter the situation, Eric is able to see what needs to be done, and does it quietly, without looking for praise. His quiet demeanor and understanding heart gives comfort and peace to families during their most difficult days. He and his wife are the parents of three children.
Austin joined McDougal Funeral Home February of 2019, and has been a licensed Funeral Director since October of 2021 when he graduated from the Mortuary Science program of Salt Lake Community College. Austin is honored to be able to serve those in the Salt Lake Valley from where he is born and raised.
As a top student in her class, she has been a valuable professional with our staff. She is passionate about personal health and activity, enjoying such activities as hiking and snowshoeing.
Marianne adds the distinctive talents of accounting, proofreading, and human resource management to the McDougal Funeral Home staff. She has worked with us since 2009 and has been vital to some of the most important aspects our service to the community. She has the talent to think clearly and comfortably under the sometimes-stressful situations that come to her position. When she needs to learn something, her motto is “all things can be googled!”
Dave is the newest member of the Family Service Counselor group. His professional education includes an associate degree from Cypress College of Mortuary Science and a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing with University of Phoenix. He served as the spokesperson for Utah Click It or Ticket in 2013. Dave’s open and friendly personality quickly set families at ease when learning about and making the difficult decisions that come with pre-planning. One of Dave’s favorite pastimes is working in his garden with his family.
I have been a family service counselor with McDougal Funeral Home for a little over a year now! I am a single mother of 2 beautiful little girls, who are my world. I was born and raised in Southern California and moved to Utah in 2018. In my spare time I love exploring Utah with my girls! Whether it’s finding new places to eat and shop, or exploring an exciting hiking trail we are always looking for new adventures together.
Heidi has worked with McDougal Funeral Home since September 2014, joining our staff in sales calls. She currently serves in helping families with funeral prearrangements as well as providing assistance after a funeral. Heidi speaks Spanish fluently and is invaluable in her service with those for whom English is not a first language. She loves spending time with her family in the outdoors.
Margo joined McDougal Funeral marketing and sales staff in 2018. Her great sense of humor and optimism are easily apparent to people whom she calls to set appointments for the Family Service Counselors. She has an excellent ability to think quickly and “on her feet” when concerns regarding preplanning come up. When speaking with Margo, a caller is easily able to sense her care and concern for those in difficult situations. Margo loves to laugh and enjoys reading about science fiction and history.
Terri joined McDougal Funeral marketing and sales staff in 2021. She aids the Family Service Counselors in setting appointments for preneed and aftercare meetings. She has a wide range of experience in the work field, and her unique talent of reaching out to people and quickly establishing a comradery is an asset to our staff. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, being with her family, and crafting.
